In 2014, the Paraguay River rose and forced 300,000 people to evacuate their homes. Remansito was one of the most affected communities. After the floods, Global Infancia started running the Remansito Community Center, which facilitates access to food, health, and education for over 1,300 children and their families, aiming for a long-term improvement in quality of life. Through GlobalGiving, they raised $1,051 to support the community center.
