The Australian Civilian Corps (ACC), a government initiative, deploys civilian specialists to countries experiencing or emerging from natural disaster or conflict. The ACC supports stabilization, recovery, and development planning. Funding supports the deployment to Afghanistan of ACC law and justice advisors to support the U.S.'s Law and Justice Program operating from the Bagram Airbase. The total value of this initiative is $2.7 million over three years, of which $1.3 million was disbursed in 2013.
