With grant funding from Native American tribe, UMN to advance diabetes research

Native Americans have the highest rates of diabetes than any other ethnic group in the United States.
The University of Minnesota recently received a grant from the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community to aid the school’s diabetes research.
