Two community leaders from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe have received Bush Fellowships that will help them improve health care access and economic opportunities for tribal members.
Jana Gipp and Joe McNeil are among 24 recipients of the 2019 Bush Fellowship, selected from a field of 684 applicants.
Gipp, CEO of the Indian Health Service Standing Rock Service Unit, will use the fellowship to complete a doctoral program in health care administration to become one of the first members of her tribe
