New Mexico Foundation hopes to strengthen local Native-led organizations
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico Foundation teamed up with local, regional and national foundations. Together, they are putting $5.5 million dollars toward the Native American Recovery Fund Zone Grant.
Officials say the goal is to address the long-term infrastructure needs of tribes in New Mexico. They also hope this limited local money will help tribes gain access to more federal funding.
