New centre supports urban Indigenous population

It has been almost 15 years since the city’s Indigenous friendship centre closed its doors, leaving a gap in services for a large population of the community.
The newly-formed Brantford Regional Indigenous Support Centre aims to help change that with programs and assistance to an estimated 11,000 urban Indigenous residents of Brantford, Brant County and Haldimand and Norfolk counties.
