The Morongo Band of Mission Indians has donated $100,000 to California Indian Nations College, a two-year tribal college in Palm Desert.
The donation aligns with the tribe's "ongoing effort to help educate and prepare the next generation of tribal leaders," a press release from Morongo said. California Indian Nations launched a $3 million fundraising campaign in April, with the initial goal of raising a third of that total by Dec. 31.
