HONOLULU — The Hawaii Tourism Authority announced the awarding of more than $3.5 million in funding to support 130 programs in the state that will perpetuate Hawaiian culture, protect natural resources and showcase community events and programs in 2019.
The Garden Island Resource Conservation & Development Inc. is one of the grant recipients. The funds will go toward “voluntourism to save Kokee’s native forests.”
