Georgia Southwestern receives minority STEM grant

AMERICUS — The National Science Foundation has awarded a portion of a $3 million grant to Georgia Southwestern State University to increase the number of underrepresented minority students graduating with degrees in the STEM — science, technology, mathematics, engineering — fields.
GSW is a founding member of the first-ever Southwest Georgia consortium of the Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation, or the Southwest Georgia LSAMP Alliance.
