Educational success for Native Americans sometimes found outside traditional schools

It’s hard not to notice the murals decorating downtown Eagle Butte.
Large, stylized letters spell out Lakota words and artworks that celebrate Native American culture are spread throughout the small, north-central South Dakota city.
