A formal check presentation was held on Tuesday at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant to present the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Tulsa with $160,000 to help educate, fight and detect breast cancer.
The event started out with a bang with the Durant High School drumline performing a few songs for the cancer survivors and Choctaw employees that attended. Pam Ballard, Chief Executive Officer for Susan G. Komen in Tulsa, and Choctaw Casinos leadership attended to celebrate the contribution.
