Cherokee Nation plans historic investment in affordable housing

Linda Webster and Wilma Fixin are looking forward to moving into new homes, something that wouldn’t have been possible if not for substantial investments made in affordable housing in recent years by the Cherokee Nation.
Webster, 74, and Fixin, 72, said getting out of their old houses will save them money, because their new places will be much more energy-efficient. But, what both women say makes them really happy is that they’ll get to move closer to family members and friends.
