Ales Hrdlicka of the Department of Anthropology of the Smithsonian travels to the Larsen Bay Village of Kodiak Island, Alaska. He exhumes and carries off 800 Alaska Native remains and more than 1,000 burial offerings (Bray and Killion, 1994).
