Plans to change an Oakland park's name to acknowledge Indigenous land stirs debate

For the past 11 years, at an historic park in Oakland’s Fruitvale District, Laura Cedillo has taken part in a ceremony with the Mexica group Calpulli Coatlicue to celebrate Indigenous communities in the Bay Area and across California.
The ceremony begins at sunrise and features dances by a number of different Indigenous tribes.
