A Dakota State University student has received a grant to start his own game design company.
Carl Petersen is a recipient of a ten-thousand dollar Dreamstarter grant offered through the non-profit organization called Running Strong for American Indian Youth. Petersen will use the grant to start his own game design company called Great Plains Game Design, which will employ Native Americans to create games for Native Americans.
