Members of the Skeetchestn Indian Band are set to receive a bump in funding to promote literacy in their community thanks to a strong partnership with NVIT and grant from the provincial government.
The band, located near Savona, will receive up to $30,000 to deliver indigenous, adult and family literacy programs in their own community.
The funds are set to contribute to band-led programming, including one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction. The goal is to support all levels of literacy,
