MSU Indian, rural health program gets $10.7M grant

The Center for American Indian and Rural Health Equity at Montana State University has received a five-year, $10.7-million grant from the National Institutes of Health to reduce health disparities in Native and rural communities.
CAIRHE, founded in 2014, ended its first five-year Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence grant from the NIH earlier in 2019 and received the latest grant effective Sept. 1. It is part of the NIH's Institutional Development Award program, MSU officials said.
