Tribes Awarded Safety Grant Money

NORTHEASTERN WI (WTAQ-WLUK) - Three tribes in eastern Wisconsin were awarded more than $2 million to improve public safety.
The money is part of the Justice Department's $273.4 million grant program given to 149 American Indian tribes nationwide.
The three tribes are:
Forest County Potawatomi Community: $718,910
Oneida Nation: $1,102,747
Stockbridge Munsee Community: $372,700
The grants will be used to improve public safety, serve victims of crime, combat violence against women and support youth
