The Lapwai School District recently was named a first-place winner of a national award that recognizes districts and their leaders for finding innovative and creative ways to increase student achievement.
Lapwai is the only school district in Idaho to ever win the National School Boards Association’s Magna Award. And this year, it was the only Native school to be selected in a list of 15 first-place winners and three grand prize winners from across the country.
