ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Helping the homeless has become a passion for Isleta Pueblo teen Quincy Walker.
Walker, 17, organized a “Hydrating the Homeless” campaign, which he hopes to expand to include new partners, additional resources and provisions, including fresh fruit. He’s also active in a variety of nonprofit and community organizations.
For his efforts, Walker has been rewarded with the Sargent Shriver Youth Warriors Against Poverty Leadership Award by the Marguerite Casey Foundation in Seattl
